Canterbury, England

December 30, 2017

Back in 2016 we took a quick trip to Canterbury because London isn’t the most pretty in January. Canterbury is a cathedral city in southeast England. It is surrounded by ancient walls and has a centre with cobbled streets, small shops, and the famous Canterbury Cathedral founded in 597.

Here’s what we did!

We entered the old town through the Westgate Towers.

We visited the Kent Museum of Freemasonry.

No pic, but it was interesting and different!

And we saw the Westgate Gardens!

We also saw the Beaney House of Art and Knowledge

 and saw Christ Church Gate.

We wandered along the streets…

and saw this little crooked door…

On our way to the Cathedral we saw the Canterbury War Memorial.

We wandered around the Canterbury Cathedral and later we saw little boys singing an evening song in the cathedral.

It’s a sweet little town and makes for a great day trip from London.
