Positively Mandy is my blog! A blog aaaalllll about me.
My name is Amanda, but some call me Mandy. I’m 25 and from Austin, Texas. I just finished my MBA and I’m moving to London with my fiance. Basically, I’m becoming an adult with real responsibilities in a foreign country RIGHT NOW. Life’s getting exciiiiiiiting! Additionally, I enjoy spending time with family/friends, meeting new people, traveling, trying new foods, learning German, hiking, running, and chilling with my fiance. I also think staying positive and laughing my butt off is a necessary element to each day.
Why did I decide to start a blog?
Well, I’ve got a lot of thoughts in my head, AND I have some very strong opinions. But sometimes they change… I GROW! I need to capture all this craziness around me and put it in a sweet little blog to see how much I’m growing and changing each and every day! I’m a totally different person compared to 5 years ago! So, I think it’ll be pretty cool to see my progress over the next days/months/years and see how I get to where I’m going- especially because now I’ll be looking for a job- in LONDON! Traveling and living in different countries has also opened my eyes to a lot of things, so reminding myself of those experiences will not only make me happy, but they’ll also make me reflect on all that I’ve accomplished. Oh, and I love taking pictures of everything.
I think of myself as a positive person (Positively Mandy, get it? :D) who embraces each day and gets excited about almost anything (to the point where people think I’m being sarcastic). I hope to stay that way. Maybe later down the road if I get into a little pissy period I can look back on this blog and think- hey, I have a lot to be happy about.
Lastly, I chose to make this blog public for everyone to see because who knows? Perhaps some might find insight into my everyday ponderings, or others will like the photos I post. Either way, I know my mom and dad will enjoy keeping up with me while I’m halfway around the world. As for everyone (or anyone) else, willkommen!
